Detailed Travel Guides to Places I Know Deeply.

Comprehensive and curated guides to help you plan a memorable trip. Each destination on my blog is a place I’ve either visited multiple times, lived in, or have been to and plan to revisit at least twice.

Some Of My Favorite Places to Visit…

Japan

One of my favorite places, and a country I have every intention to explore in as much detail as possible. Japan has something for everyone.

Copenhagen

The city I now call home, and one which I still enjoy exploring deeply. I genuinely believe Copenhagen is the best weekend break in Europe.

Iceland

I’ve been to Iceland eight times now, and I still feel like I have so much to see. If you’re into hiking and beautiful landscapes, this is a country you really don’t want to miss.

Faroe Islands

I’m lucky enough to live a short flight from the Faroe Islands, and this archipelago is stunning—even on the windiest days.

Welcome to My Blog 🙋🏾‍♂️

Hi, I’m Danny—the face (and fingers, I guess) behind Danny in the North. I spend most of my year in Northern Europe (hence the blog name), but my curiosity expands much further. Born to an Italian father and American mother, I grew up in the UK and am now based in Copenhagen. Before moving to Denmark, I also lived in Sweden.

On my travel blog, I only write about places I’ve visited at least 3 times, lived in, or been to at least once with plans of revisiting multiple times. Every word you write was written by me, and I also use original photos and first-hand experiences.

I designed my guides and itineraries to be helpful throughout the planning process. Feel free to bookmark them in your browser if you find my articles helpful. Whether you need to work around annual leave or have the flexibility to travel more slowly, I’ve done both and use this expertise to give you handy tips.
